Homemade Blinis with La Fermière Yogurt

A delightful French toast recipe to elevate New Year's Eve celebration or any gathering with friends and family. These light and fluffy blinis, topped with La Fermière Plain Yogurt, smoked salmon, salmon roe or even caviar, make for the most indulgent appetizers for your loved ones.

GENERAL INFORMATION

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 jar of La Fermière Plain Yogurt or Pressed Lemon

  • 1 yogurt jar of flour (use the empty La Fermière yogurt jar to measure)

  • 1 egg

  • ½ teaspoon of baking powder

  • A pinch of salt

  • Butter to cook the blinis

 INSTRUCTIONS

  • PREPARE THE BATTER

    In a bowl, mix La Fermière Yogurt, flour, egg, baking powder, and salt until smooth. Cover the batter and let it rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour to enhance its texture and flavor.

  • COOK THE BLINIS

    Heat a frying pan over medium heat and melt a small amount of butter. Spoon a small portion of the batter into the pan.

    Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip the blini and cook the other side until golden brown.

    Repeat with the remaining batter.

  • Classic and Creamy: Spread a generous dollop of La Fermière Plain Yogurt for a rich, tangy base.

  • Smoked Salmon or Gravlax: Top with thin slices of smoked salmon, gravlax or salmon roe for a refined touch.
